26 April - Friendly Win over FCK(MKII)
On a bobbly Claremont Road pitch, we defeated a newly re-formed FC Kensington 2-1 on Sunday. Despite playing their first ever game, FC Kensington were as good as some of the teams we've been up against this season already. Goalless at half-time, we took the lead just after the break, when Shaquille Tyndale-Weekes headed home a corner. They equalised with about 15 minutes left. Junior Abass won the game in the last minute - again - with a sweet strike past the keeper. Good game all round, we'll probably hope to play them again during the summer.
25 April - Player of the Year Awards Announced
The End of Season awards were held on Saturday at Hendon FC, after the game against AFC Hornchurch. The winners were as follows:
Most Improved Player - Ignacio Ezquerro
Top Goalscorer - Zola Msimanga
Clubman of the Year - Bobby Kasabi
Managers Player of the Year - Shaquille Tyndale-Weekes
Players Player of the Year - Billy Williams
Congratulations to the above winners, and thanks for turning up yesterday as well - hope everyone enjoyed the match (goals for which are currently on the main club website).
20 April - Friendly Arranged for Sunday 25 April
We are hosting a friendly on 25 April, at Copthall. It will be a 11.00 kick-off (slightly later than normal). Meet time will be 10.15 - full kit etc, this is a normal Sunday game.
In our league, the only other game is between Wealdstone and Headstone Manor, their last game of the season. Headstone need a win to take them off the bottom of the table.
18 April - Spoils Shared At Headstone Manor
The Under 16s drew 1-1 at Headstone Manor today. Starting with nine players due to travel problems, we held our own, conceding just as three players turned up. Jordan Rowe levelled just after half-time, getting us one more point. The other result in the division saw Manor Youth thump Harlington 6-0, meaning we stay 5th. A win is needed in our last game away at Wealdstone in two weeks time. Match report will follow shortly.
11th April - Game this Thursday to take place at Copthall.
Our cup game against St Andrews will take place this Thursday, 15 April, at Copthall Playing Fields. Kick-off will be at 6.15pm, so meet at the ground for 5.30pm. Please speak to Paul or Liam for any further details.

Next Sunday, 18th April, we have an afternoon kick-off against Headstone Manor, and end the season - barring progression in the League Trophy - away at Wealdstone on the 2nd May, again with an afternoon kick-off. Details will be passed on for all remaining games nearer the time.
7th April - NO TRAINING THIS THURSDAY.
As discussed last week, our time at Whitefiels School has finished for this season. There will be no training this Thursday, 8th April, due to unavailability. We will recommence training on the 15th April, and will use the playing fields behind Hendon Football Club.
We have also not been allocated a fixture for this weekend by the Harrow Youth League. Therefore, we will hold a training match on Sunday at Copthall playing fields. This will be treated as a normal training session. Meet time at Copthall will be 10.00, and we will be finished by 12.30 latest. If you are unavailable, please let Paul or Liam know as soon as possible. A text will be sent out to advise this shortly.
28th March - Three Unbeaten for Under 16s
A last minute winner from Junior Abass won the points for the Under 16s at Manor Youth, giving us a 3-2 victory in some epic windy conditions. Having been pegged back twice after goals from Zola Msimanga, and Junior Abass - and with Manor Youth also missing a penalty - Junior drilled home from 20 yards in the dying minutes to make it seven points from the last nine. The win also moves us out of the bottom two. Match report to follow.

As announced on Thursday, and on the main club website, Liam Coogan-Jobes has been promoted to Co-Manager, as recognition of his hard work over the season. The position has arisen following the departure of Nick McMullen, due to other committments. We thank Nick for his efforts over the last season and an half, and congratulate Liam on his new role.
15th March - Stalemate In Local Derby.
Our first clean sheet in the league was enough for a point in a close-fought game against Wealdstone on Sunday. The only real oppurtunity for both sides came when Zola hit the post with a second half penalty. Match report to follow.
11th March - Harrow Youth League Challenge Trophy Draw
The HYL have decided to run a League Challenge Trophy competition at Under 16s age group for this season. The competition will run towards the end of the season, and is still weather-dependant.
We have been drawn in group H, alongside Mill Hill Rangers'B', who are currently in the lower reaches of Division One, and St Andrews, who are challenging for promotion from Division Four. The top team from the group will quality for the quarter finals. No further details have been released yet - dates, eligibility of players, venues etc - but we will update the website once we know further details.
8th March - More Disappointment for Under 16s.
Hendon Under-16s disappointingly failed to hold onto a half-time lead and slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Hanwell Town in the Harrow Youth League yesterday morning.
Although they had the better of the first half, it took until the final seconds of the half for them to make the superiority tell. A throw-in was flicked on and Sharif Malik just got his toe to the ball to divert it over the line as the ball bobbled in the penalty area. Unable to go on from this position, Hendon were quiet in the second half and conceded a goal after 50 minutes, no defender quick enough to clear a rebound when the initial effort was saved. And things got even worse 15 minutes later when Hanwell scored what proved to be the winning goal.
"It was a very disappointing second half display," said assistant manager Liam Coogan-Jobes. "We did well in the first half and deserved to lead, but we let it slip. My man of the match was Ignacio Ezquerro, who was very solid at left-back, an alien position for him - he's normally a midfielder."
5th March - Team for Sunday against Hanwell Town.
The team for Sunday, as picked by Liam at training on Thursday is: Charlie Fulton, Joey Andrews, Own Clark, Bobby Kasabi (c), Michael Adeyemi, Sharif Malik, Jordan Rowe, Shquille Tyndale-Weekes, Tung Nguyen, Junior Abass, Zola Msimanga subs: Isaac Instance, Billy Williams, Liam Hyland, Zak Moumen, Ignacio Ezquerro.
Liam would have given details of the venue and meet-up on Thursday at training. Any questions contact Liam, Nick or Paul (who is now back in the country).
7th February - Under 16s win Bonkers Game.
In a nerve-jangling game, we got our second league win of the season. Three up at half-time thanks to an own-goal, a thunderbolt from Michael Adeyemi, and Zola Msimanga, Harlington got back to 3-2 within five minutes of the start of the second half. Two further goals in quick succession from Msimanga and Sharif Malik, were followed by two more from Harlington. A frantic last few minutes saw us somehow hang on. Match report to follow shortly.
5th February - Squad for Harlington away on Sunday 7th February
Team will be as follows: Liam Hyland, Michael Adeyemi, Owen Clark, Anthony Tung, Bobby Kasabi, Shaquille Tyndale-Weekes, Sharif Malik, Billy Williams, Jordan Rowe, Zola Msimanga, Junior Abass. Subs from: Tung Nguyen, Ignacio Ezquerro, Charlie Fulton, Zak Moumen, Stanley Tang and Blake Antwi.
Further information in the match-day thread on the forum.
31st January - Frozen Pitch - Wealdstone game OFF. Surprisingly.
Following an early morning pitch inspection, the game against Wealdstone has been called off. A number of pitches were playable on Saturday afternoon (indeed, a game took place in decent playing conditions down at the bottom of the playing field), however a heavier overnight frost than the previous night rendered all pitches utterly unplayable, leaving Paul and Nick no option but to call the game off. The game will be rearranged for later in the season.
30th January - Pitch Inspection tomorrow 8am for Wealdstone game.
Following a pitch inspection this afternoon, it has been decided that another inspection will be needed first thing tomorrow morning. Most of the pitches were still frozen this afternoon, the couple that were playable were borderline at the time. A lot will depend on the overnight weather. The referee is happy for a decision to be made tomorrow. We will assume the game is on unless you hear from Paul or Nick to say otherwise.
